Shared Walls Art Program (SWAP)
“Owning and hanging art creates a sense of warmth and belonging in any space, and we believe that it should be available to everyone.”
— Daybreak Founder & Executive Director, Nicole Minyard
How SWAP Works:
A $500 sponsorship allows a company, individual, or group to purchase an original, $250 art piece by a Daybreak artist for their office or space. The sponsorship additionally purchases another $250 art piece for someone moving into a home with Urban Housing Solutions. Daybreak artists will receive a 60% commission on the pieces selected.
Sponsor purchases art.
SWAP sponsors receive:
Certificate of Authenticity for their purchased original artwork
Hand-written card from the artist who created the piece
Photo of the sponsored piece in its new home
Recognition on social media, the Daybreak website, and at an annual Shared Walls event
Artist receives income.
The Daybreak artist(s) who created the art will earn 60% on the price of the selected sponsor piece, as well as the selected UHS recipient piece.
SWAP sponsorships allow our artists to earn income, as well as gain joy knowing that even more people will have the opportunity to enjoy their art.
UHS family enjoys art.
Through the SWAP sponsorship, a low-income family or individual moving into affordable housing through UHS is provided the opportunity to select a new original art piece by a Daybreak artist that reflects their style and personality at no-cost.
SWAP is driven by Daybreak Arts’ mission to make the arts accessible to everyone, including art ownership! We aim for the sponsored original art pieces to inspire a community of art appreciators and spur on new collectors.
