LIVE PAINTING WITH WAWEISE

Join Waweise for an afternoon of live painting and watch her creative process unfold. Her work explores subjects from wildlife and nature to imaginative and expressive scenes, using mediums including watercolor and pastel. Come see what she creates right before your eyes!

COLLAGE DEMO WITH KEITH BARRILLEAUX
Saturday, September 19 | Beginning at 4 PM
Get creative and make something of your own! Keith Barrilleaux will lead a collage-making workshop, inviting Fair guests to experiment with layering, composition, imagery, and found materials to create their own unique works of art.

Daybreak Artist Keith is leading a hands-on collage demo alongside our art display at One Big Love during AMERICANAFEST.

Shwab Art Club kicked off its Fall 2026 semester with an afternoon of creativity, self-expression, and photography at Shwab Elementary School! We welcomed back Daybreak Artist A.M. Hassan as our teaching artist and our lead volunteer, Kelly, for another semester of Art Club.

NewsChannel 5 visited Daybreak Arts to highlight our new music program, and our upcoming Music Jam Session & Open Mic at the Nashville Fair on Sunday, September 13th. The new program creates low-barrier opportunities for Daybreak Artists to explore music, connect with one another, and share their creativity with the community.

Daybreak Arts Launches New Music Program for People Experiencing Housing Insecurity

It’s the middle of summer and the low ebb of the gallery-going season, but a handful of exhibitions closing out the dog days are worth braving the humidity. From a unique local perspective on development and demolition to displays by veterans and artists who’ve experienced homelessness, these shows all avoid the floral clichés of warm-weather commercial curation to ask tough questions and offer unique perspectives on our neighborhoods and our neighbors.

“Perspective: How We Experience Art”—a group show in Gallery 59 at Arcade Arts. This exhibition invites you to slow down, look closer, and consider how differently we each experience art.
