Build Community Through Art!
Looking for a creative community-building activity?
Hire a Daybreak teaching artist to lead a fun, hands-on art workshop for your employees, colleagues, church group, or community group! It’s the perfect way to bring people together for holiday parties, youth group events, and more!
What You’ll Do
The workshop will feature an art medium of your choice with all supplies provided. While leading the workshop, the Daybreak teaching artist will share their story with the group and answer questions about art and homelessness. After the workshop, participants will be encouraged to give the art piece they created to someone special in their life who might need encouragement.
Who can participate?
These art workshops are available for adults, teens, and youth. No previous artistic training or skills are required to participate. Group workshops at the Daybreak Arts Studio can accommodate up to 15 people, while offsite workshops have no limit—invite as many as your space can hold!
What’s Included:
All supplies will be provided either in person or by shipping the supplies in advance of the workshop.
Location:
Groups can choose to join us at the Daybreak Arts Studio in East Nashville or host the workshop at their own location, like a company conference room or church fellowship hall. If you host, a Daybreak Artist and staff member will bring the creativity to you!
What To Bring:
Participants won't need to bring anything—just wear clothes you’re comfortable painting in and get ready to create!
Price
$250/ group
Duration
1-2 hours
How you’ll make an impact:
Your donation payment for the art workshop will provide direct income to the teaching artist experiencing housing insecurity and help provide 30+ artists impacted by homelessness increased access to the supplies, space, education, and marketplace to create and showcase their work.
