September New Artist Showcase
On Thursday, September 22, 2022, we featured six new Daybreak Artists during our New Artist Showcase.
In July 2022, we held an artist orientation where we onboarded several new creatives—all of whom worked throughout the summer towards our upcoming debut at the New Artist Showcase. Community members were invited to be the first to view the artists’ work before the work went online!
One of our board members hosted our Artist Meal (shout out Morgan Miller-Wallace!) and brought Amerigo Italian Restaurant for our artists to enjoy prior to the showcase. Also during this time, veteran Daybreak artists shared words of encouragement to our new artists.
Several new artists sold a piece (or more!), and everyone got to talk with our community members and share their work! The proceeds from art sales go to both the artists and organization which reinvests its portion to continue providing supplies, space, and training at no cost. Congratulations to all of our artists who sold work!
