Meet Angela

Angela joined our Artist Collective in November 2019. She was born in New York and raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Angela is a survivor of domestic violence and secured housing in 2014 after experiencing homelessness for 3 years.  Angela enjoys creating with fabric and is inspired by the texture and appearance of each swatch she collects. Angela learned sewing skills at an early age by watching her great-grandmother sew and continued lessons through high school.  With the income she earns through Daybreak Arts, Angela hopes to start her own small business and learn new skills.

Angela’s bright personality and passion for sewing shine through her cozy collection of stitched must-haves.

“Support for my art is the number one thing I get from this program.”

— Daybreak Artist, Angela

Every donation helps our artists expand their collection and discover new possibilities.
