Meet Beth Gunn

Beth Gunn joined our Artist Collective in February 2016. She is from Massachusetts and earned a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College. Beth is a survivor of sexual violence and trafficking, which contributed to her experiencing homelessness upon arriving to Nashville in October 2015. Beth now lives in an apartment with her dog and works full time at a local fabric store. Beth likes fine art because it ties in all of her interests and connects different aspects of her life in a way that words cannot. Some of her goals at Daybreak are to grow her skills in painting, illustrating, embroidery, clothing design, and quilting.

With a heartfelt and mindful touch, Beth’s collection features whimsical and abstract portrayals of her primary inspirations: her religion and literature; in addition to her best-sellers: hand sewn trivets.

“It makes me feel valuable to see the thoughts from my head come to fruition in a visual and tactile sense—into something I can hold in my hand.”

— Daybreak Artist, Beth Gunn

Every donation helps our artists expand their collection and discover new possibilities.
