Daybreak Arts and Founder Nicole honored as a Top 100 Founder at the Belmont Entrepreneur Awards

Belmont University recognized Daybreak Arts’ Founder, Nicole Brandt Minyard, at the Belmont Entrepreneur Awards as a Top 100 Founder. In addition to being featured in their Top 100 Entrepreneurs Book, they also made this video about Daybreak Arts and our work. The video was made right after we changed our name from ‘Poverty and the Arts’ to ‘Daybreak Arts.

“Belmont was the campus where I first dreamed about the possibility of “Poverty and the Arts/Daybreak”. It was the campus where I coordinated our first community art projects. And it was the campus where I started organizing my friends with opportunities to build relationships people experiencing homelessness. So it only felt right for Belmont to be the first place where we’re featured as Daybreak Arts! They even played a video with our new name in it! Thank you Belmont professors, admin, students, and community for helping make Daybreak Arts a reality!” —Nicole Brandt Minyard, Daybreak Founder & Belmont Alumna
