Pride Month Queer Salon with FEMME Art Gallery

Happy pride month!

We partnered with FEMME Art Gallery in June 2023 to celebrate and amplify the queer/ LGBTQ+ artists in our Collective! Our Queer Salon was a celebration of diversity, creativity, and the freedom of self-expression. The opening reception was held on June 22nd from 5-7pm at Daybreak Arts. This event not only showcased the incredible artistic achievements of LGBTQ+ artists but also shed light on the importance of visibility and stand in solidarity with the queer community as they face increased threats of violence from the state.

Through this exhibition, Daybreak Arts aimed to create a safe and inclusive space where queer/LGBTQ+ artists can openly express their identities, share their stories, challenge societal norms, and inspire meaningful conversations. By showcasing their works to a broader audience, we hope to raise awareness and dismantle stereotypes that hinder the understanding and acceptance of the queer community.

Thank you to all of the art enthusiasts, advocates for social justice, and members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies who joined us for this unique pride exhibition!
