IN THE NEWS: WKRN News2 — Hometown Hero Daybreak Arts

Daybreak Arts was recognized as a WKRN New2’s Hometown Hero for March 2025! This special segment by WKRN News 2 highlights individuals, organizations, and projects making a positive impact in the community—celebrating those who go above and beyond to uplift others and improve lives in their community.

We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition and a Hometown Hero plaque for our work of creating artistic and economic opportunities for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity, changing their lives.

You can watch the full Hometown Hero segment featuring Daybreak Artists, Edwin Lockridge, Daniel Holmes, and A.M. HASSAN, as well as see the below photos where Daybreak Arts was presented with a plaque and had 30 boxed meals delivered to our artists.

A huge thank you to News 2 and Hometown Hero sponsor Nashville Subaru for sharing our mission and to our amazing supporters who make this work possible!
