Meet Keith Barrilleaux

Keith Barrilleaux joined our Artist Collective in 2026. Keith is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily in pencil, colored pencil, and collage. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1960, Keith discovered his passion for art at an early age and studied art throughout middle and high school with hopes of pursuing a career as an artist. His path eventually led him into auto mechanics and the world of race cars, where he developed another creative and hands-on passion. Although his career took him in a different direction, art remained an important part of his life. After experiencing homelessness and spending time in a shelter, Keith became involved with RITI, where he rediscovered his artistic talent and the joy of creating. Today, Keith embraces a range of artistic mediums and finds purpose and focus through the creative process, exploring everything from detailed pencil drawings to color and found materials in collage. Through Daybreak Arts, Keith hopes to continue developing his practice, take on commissioned work, and share his skills and passion for art by teaching others.

“I’m blessed that I rediscovered my art talent because it’s opened doors that I never thought would open.”
