Meet Mara

Mara joined our Artist Collective in 2026. Mara is a Tennessee-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans abstract expression, mixed media, collage, sculpture, graphic art, intuitive doodle illustration, and wearable art. Her relationship with art began at age four when she sat in on one of her mother’s college art classes, sparking a lifelong connection to visual expression. After years of focusing on raising her family and creating primarily in private, Mara is now stepping fully into her artistic practice and sharing her work publicly. She approaches art as a visual language, using color, texture, composition, and form to give physical shape to the thoughts and ideas in her mind. Inspired by books, everyday experiences, and the energy of the people around her, Mara creates thoughtful, layered works and also brings her artwork into fashion by designing original artwork for clothing. Through Daybreak Arts, she hopes to grow her confidence and professional practice while building a sustainable career and reaching new audiences and collectors.
